Troop 689 offers a year-round program designed to provide Scouts with
opportunities for outdoor adventure, leadership development, personal growth,
community service, and fun. The annual calendar of activities was developed and
prioritized by the Scouts themselves during the troop’s annual planning meeting,
giving them ownership of the program and the opportunity to practice leadership
and decision-making. This summary represents only the major planned activities for
the year and does not include the troop’s regular weekly meetings, merit badge
clinics, advancement opportunities, leadership training, assistance with Eagle Scout projects, boards of review, courts of honor, or other routine scouting activities that
take place throughout the year.
